We've been busy
I took his highness Kyle and the princess Claire to the children's museum to meet and play with our local homeschool group last week. We stayed for quite a long time. The kids were having to much fun to leave and I got to hang out with a very cool homeschool mom for a few hours.

Friday night, the kids were out front playing in the dirt pile. Kalel was trying to make himself look like the HULK> I think he did a great job.
Saturday morning, Charles and Kal went out to the TCYSA soccer fields to help set up before next weekends first games. The got to drive around and pull out and deliver the goal posts.
Then, in the afternoon, Kal went to work with Charles. Here he is in his welding gear. He made sure to let me know that Daddy has a vending machine at his job.
This is a pic of Kal's weld. After he relaxed and just let go, he did awesome. He did better then some uncertified backyard welders Charles knows. Charles was very proud. Kal is proud too.
If Kal wants too, he could go to the technical school that Charles went to and get certified at sixteen. I am sure he will get lots of practice between now and then. That is six years away.
Here he is having a turn at driving the big blue forklift at work.

And this is what Charles was working on. He is doing this King size head and foot boards as a side job for one of his managers there at his work.
On a side note. I was so busy building and playing in our living room fort today, that I completely forgot that August 31 is my late grandmothers birthday and death day. So, I just want to put out to the universe and heaven, "I love you and miss you gma. Happy birthday."

Looks like Kal had a fun time with Charles at work. I too would have enjoyed the forklift:) And his welding looked great!
The Children's Museum looked like a blast! Our's in DC is closed, but I went with Declan's class last year to Richmond and the kids loved it. I think Ben and I have also hit them(and the zoos) in every city we have been to since having kids.
