We plan on going to Corvallis in January for the annual non-con. Me and the kids are so excited. I had asked Charles if he wanted to go and he told me no. I was quite surprised. I thought he would like to go. I didnt respond right away, I just told him ok. Later, when we were alone and I had more time to ask him about it, I asked him why. He told me that he felt out of place and that he felt like all of the people knew each other and that he didnt have anything in common. He feels like we are all hanging out online talking to each other when he is at work. I wish!! Only if we had the time to hang out as much as we all would like to. I told him that is what noncons and conferences are for. To get together and hang out and have fun. And what he thought was happening while he is at work is what happens when we get there. He said he will go and see how it is. So, I have yet to tell him that Diana offered for us to stay with her. I think that will make him really want to go.

Yes! Non-cons are the best way to really get to know each other. It's sooooo informal. We do a lot of sitting around and talking and watching kids and talking and eating and talking and playing and talking... I'm glad you'll be here.
