Every year we sign up for Tiny Tot Olympics. It is for ages 2-5, so this was Ky's last year and Claire's first. We had an ok time. They changed it from previous years. Usually our local hockey team, the Americans sponsor it but this year they went with the Indoor Football team, the Fever. The kids werent very impressed. They also usually have a local guy who is Ronald McDonald come and do tricks. This year however they had some guy sing songs and lead the crowd in a few dances. Honestly, I felt like I was at a bad wedding reception. So, we got there when it was starting. First thing, we stood online to get our tshirts and goody bags. (Yes, we know how to stand in line and socialize)

Instead of the hockey mascot, Winger (who is a big eagle), they had a big giant football wearing a bandana with flames. He came up to Claire and Ky for a high five and she backed up behind my leg. I gave him five and he played with my hair and stole my ponytail holder. She just stared until he was gone. Ky just told him to get away. He was cool. Didnt bother the kids again. He would look creepy to a two year old though. One time later on, we were walking towards the cookie stand and he was passing us. Claire walked all the way around a tree just to avoid him and she usually dosent walk away from us.

Ky showing off his Olympic checklist. Lots of activities to do. The kids chose to throw a football thru the hole at a 12 year old girls head, go thru the obstical course three times, eat cookies, drink rootbeer floats (which Daddy helped with), shoot hoops with the big kids, and dance a little.

Claire following Ky thru the obstical course.

Come on baby, lets go get prizes. (they gave out prizes at each activity. )

Hmm, which color of frosting to choose?

Orange of course, Ky's favorite. Orange frosting with orange sprinkles.

Baby chose no frosting. The second the cookie hit her hand, she inhaled it.

Ky shooting hoops with the big boys.

The music is too loud, Kyle dosent like it. I asked if he wanted to leave but he said no.

Sharing rootbeer floats with Daddy.

Oh yes, I forgot. They fed the kids lunch. They had a choice between pbj and cheese. Each lunch came with gold fish, twizzlers and a juice to go with. BONUS!! (There is the creepy football mascot again!)

We had a good time. The kids were tired out by the time we were done and we left before it was over. Daddy took the morning off from work to come with us. It was nice to spend some extra time with him.

Tori had been up all night and decided not to go this year. Kal didnt want to go because there really isnt anything for him to do there and so he opted to stay home with Tor and play WOW. Last night when he passed out around ten, he had just gotten done with a 30 hour long stretch of a WOW turn. He is working on his rogue, Quickblades, lvl 54. He is aiming for level 70 some time soon. I am so impressed with his interest in WOW. He loves it and his characters show. He gets all sorts of cool clothing and weaponary for them. He loves to do instances and battle grounds. He meets all sorts of people from many different places and ages on there. I told him that blizzard hires GMs to do in game support and he knew already about the GM's. Someday maybe he will be in game and getting paid for it. How cool would that be?
Today has just been one of those days where the shine is at its shiniest. I asked for help when I needed to do something and there it was. We asked for help of each other and there it was. Me and Claire had a nice time in the pool this afternoon and she learned how to blow bubbles. Ky got a wrestling dvd he has been waiting for. I am learning, growing, changing. I am feeling more of a shift to the joy then ever before. And they are already there with me, every step of the journey.
