On Thursday, we met some of our local homeschoolers over at Ice Harbor dam for an exploration and guided tour. Kalel was really impressed with the size of the dam but when he found out how much water the wall was holding behind it, he got a little scared.

This is one of the fish the kids were watching thru the glass windows

They had a big diagram of the dam and how it works so the kids could get a visual and ask tons of questions.
This fish is swimming into the fish counter. They count every fish that swims thru and also sort the type of fish on the counter. (fingerprints on window courtesy of one of my kids.)

As usual, our kids go against the norm and chose to forfit the question/answer session and watch the fish swim thru the counter instead.

This is the fish ladder.
