A Day with Us

Over at the Radical Unschoolers Network, Ren is putting together a blog carnival. The subject is your day as an unschooling family. This is ours.
Kyle and Claire spent half the night in our bed. Charles got up and went to work for seven this morning and I didnt have to take him because he had the work truck. So I got to sleep in with the kids. They got me up around nine. Kyle asked me to turn on PBS so he and Claire could watch Curious George. Then, they watched the usual morning shows in a row.Clifford, Super Y, Dragontales, and sometimes Mr. Rogers. Claire got herself some goldfish for breakfast and then a lollipop. I went and answered my email and read a few books to the little ones at my computer desk. Then, we counted marshmallows.
I was washing dishes while they were watching PBS and Claire came and helped me. We heard the dog going crazy because we got a package this morning.
So, we went and looked in the package. It was my tank tops and shorts. Yea!
Tori got up and ate Cherios for breakfast.
Claire had a pretzel after dishes.
My niece Sami had slept over last night, so her, Tori and Kal were playing WoW off and on all day. I helped Kal find out about the beta testing for Wrath of the Lich King and put our account on the list to wait and see if we get picked to try it out before the release.

Me, Claire and Ky went to get some food at Costco. When we were done, they played on the concrete pillars outside, hiding and saying BOO.
After Costco, we went to McDonalds and got drinks and played on the toys for an hour and a half. Then, we left at 2:30 to go put the groceries away. Claire was tired. Sami, the boys and I killed flies by throwing books at them because I cant find my fly swatter.
Ky settled down in the living room to watch the Best of Mick Foley. (WWE wrestling if your not familiar with him)
Around four Sami was in the pool again (the girls had been swimming when we were at McD's) and Ky joined her. Then when Charles got home from work and the baby woke up, Me and her went in with them. After freezing my butt off for all of two minutes, I asked them to get into the baby pool. The water there was very warm. They agreed. Once I had enough, I got out and decided to sit in the sun and dry off and read a travel book.
Tori had horses lessons at six and Charles took her so I could do my online class. Ky and Claire went with him and then they took Sami home. Now they are home and I am going to go and spend some time with them before they go to sleep.
